Dr. Shyam C Agrawal (MBBS, MCPS, MS, DOMS-Ophth) is a reputed eye specialist in India. His sole motive is to provide quality and cost-efficient eye care to the society. Dr. Agrawal has an unmatched expertise and experience in the field of Cataract, Refractive, Glaucoma Surgery and Medical Ophthalmology.
He has an illustrious career and rich experience of more than 42 years as an ophthalmic surgeon. He completed his MBBS, MS and DOMS in ophthalmology from King Edward Medical college 1979. Agrawal Eye Hospital & Sanjeevani LASIK Centre was established by him in the year 1983. It has been over 36 years Agrawal Eye Hospital has been providing consistently positive results in treating various ophthalmic eye conditions. He is currently the medcial director of Agrawal Eye Hospital and Sanjeevani LASIK Centre heading the Cataract, Refractive and Glaucoma departments.
He has served as a professor and head of the ophthalmic department in a Medical College at Irla in Mumbai for over 15 years and also as Ophthalmic Consultant at the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. He has conducted more than one and half lac eye surgeries so far including Microincision sutureless cataract surgey with phacoemulsification, bladeless customised LASIK and Glaucoma surgeries.
With the advancement in medical technology, Dr. Agrawal believes in constant learning and upgrading his knowledge and skills. He has stayed in tune with the latest technology and the most recent advances in the field of ophthalmology. He believes that his skills, infrastructure and capabilities should not be limited to a group of society and that underprivileged and needy should be able to get the best eye care they deserve. Hence with this aim of giving back to the society he conducts eye surgery camps in various parts of India all-round the year.
His regular eye camps are held at Vrindavan and Govardhan in Mathura, Dungarpur in Rajasthan, at Dr. Hegdewar Hospital in Aurangabad, Jhawar and Talasari (R.S.S & V.H.P Seva Prakalp) and Dadari in Uttar Pradesh.
He has conducted free camps at Dhuliya, Jalgaon & Ahmednagar. Also at Surajgadh and Sikar in Rajasthan, in Vapi –Gujrat and in Kota – Rajasthan at Bharat Vikas Parishad Hospital and at many other tribal areas of Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
